We have an urgent requirement for Network Engineer for our company. Candidate must be fluent in English communication (Verbal/Written).

Education & Qualification

  • Essential- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred or minimum 5 years relevant work experience is required. Cisco and HP certified current senior certification path
  • Desirable- ITIL Foundation, PMO Foundation, CISCO, HP, WIFI generic certifications.

Experience

  • This highly technical role requires exceptional technical ability and vision together with outstanding leadership and technical people skills. It requires the ability to provide exceptional levels of service in a fast moving, constantly changing and flexible environment.
  • Extensive experience implementing and supporting IP protocols. Detailed understanding of the ISO communications stack.
  • Significant experience in problem & performance diagnosis and resolution, support of cross system technical interfaces.
  • Ability to manage stress well under difficult situations and when dealing with production issues and project deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with a focus on delivery, responsiveness, ownership and accountability are also critical.
  • Experience in the areas of vendor management, resource management, project management, and service level agreements.
  • Specific expertise in the design and build out of large data networks in an on-going, critical delivery business.
  • Understanding of design considerations for high volume transaction systems.
  • Experienced in performance tuning, capacity management, consolidation, COS, load balancing technology, monitoring.
  • Strong project management skills and experience.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for overseeing and assisting with the configuration and maintenance of simple to large-scale network infrastructure.
  • Responsibilities will also include assisting in the maintenance of existing network infrastructure in a continuous service improvement approach.
  • Network Engineer will provide remediation support to Megamax customers through the design, implementation and integration of network infrastructure, assisting Project Managers with customer projects.
  • Models and acts in accordance with our guiding principles and core values. First level escalation from help desk/NOC.
  • Provides day to day Run and Maintain and Project Deployment activities, system upgrades and compliance for the Megamax Network environment. Liaises with other teams providing support for complimenting products and those directly or indirectly underpinning the Megamax environment.

Job Description:

  • Plan, schedule, and implement network upgrades, assist in implementations and migrations.
  • Provide change management support.
  • Create and maintain documentation for monitoring systems, processes and creation of hardware devices
  • Diagnose and resolve every connectivity issue, perform updates, configuration changes and back-ups
  • Be available, on-call, to rapidly troubleshoot any problems resulting from the changes and or faults. Provide on-call 24/7 support as needed.
  • Ensure global network support and maintain high system availability in collaboration with the external suppliers.
  • Coordinate efforts with technology staff from multi-environment application (application/system/functional).
  • Create and maintain documentation for monitoring, processes, network diagrams and existing devices inventory
  • Monitor and maintain all the network devices (routers, switches, wifi controllers, etc) any other related equipment and services.
  • Identify mission critical production network related issue and troubleshoot end-user issues
