    Short Description: Qualifications: - B. Tech/B. E in Computer Science/ IT or MCA

    The primary purpose of the role:-

    1. Senior technical expert on Kubernetes and related open-source technologies. Expected to bring deep expertise designing and supporting highly scalable and highly available infrastructure and applications in Kubernetes as well as promoting microservice design patterns in complex environments.
    2. Serves as a senior resource on all aspects of containerized deployments, including deployment, configuration, scaling, upgrades, and optimization.
    3. Develops automation techniques that improves deployment speed and service reliability in the containerized environment.
    4. Expected to debug problems in production and test environments, advise developers on best practices applicable to the environment, and maintain high-volume clusters in multiple datacenters.
    5. Helps mentor other team members and stakeholders on the adoption of new technologies and design principles as well as promote DevOps culture and collaboration.
    6. Act as the technical escalation point for the Kubernetes team.
    7. Act as the primary technical resource responsible for instigating new technologies in the Open source and Kubernetes technology stack into operations in conjunction with our SVP IT Enterprise Architect and other supporting functions in the strategy and design team.
    8. Facilitate the delivery of new technologies including adoption, training & KT for relevant team members to aid a smooth transition into operations.
    9. Be a key technical resource on behalf of operations in all projects and improvement programs that relate to current and future technology.
    10. Models and acts in accordance with our guiding principles and core values.

    Key accountability areas:-

    1. Supports the Service Owner and acts as a technical expert to assist the relevant teams.
    2. Work closely with the SVP IT Enterprise Architect and functions within the Design and Strategy team.
    3. Evaluate, develop, and assist in the deployment of new technologies
    4. Work with the technology stack team leaders to support and maintain high system availability.
    5. Coordinate efforts with technology staff from the multi-environment applications (application/system/functional).
    6. Implement and support infrastructure projects as directed by the Service Owner.
    7. Follow established policies and procedures and determine potential enhancements and improvements.
    8. Involved in the approval process for relevant technology changes.
    9. Maintain strict compliance with the approved Change Management procedure.
    10. Participates in management reporting and analysis assigned by the Service Owner.
    11. Mentor intermediate engineers and be an escalation resource for critical issues.
    12. Assess & recommend additional training requirements across the Kube team.
    13. Participate and represent the team in the CIMG process when required.
    14. Research and provide suggestions for new technology through the TRG.
    15. Identify mission-critical production jobs and troubleshoot issues alongside the support teams.
    16. Enhance the support capabilities of the support teams through knowledge transfer.
    17. Be active in the Kubernetes and Open-Source communities
    18. Develop support knowledge through research and translate that knowledge into training for the support teams.
    19. Provide on-call 24/7 support as needed.
    20. Performs other duties as assigned.
